American History

Members of the department specialize in modern US history, maritime history and Newfoundland/United States relations.

Microfilmed collections from the United States National Archives, Congressional Record, and United States Depository Collection, together with various materials in the Provincial Archives of Newfoundland and Labrador and the Maritime History Archive, permit the department to supervise MA work in selected aspects of American history.
