Walk-in clinics for the FALL and WINTER semesters are held on Mondays and Thursdays beginning Sept. 28th.  Numbers will be handed out from the front desk wicket and then you wait in the waiting room to be seen. We ask that patients restrict sameday walk-in appointments to the immediate problem at hand, and book a later appointment for other issues. Certain emergencies, depending on severity, may have to be directed to Health Sciences Centre ER. Walk-in clinics are not for notes. Notes must be written by the physician who has been following your illness.

Your Student Health Service is fortunate to offer “walk in” clinics.

You can use these doctor visits for addressing one straightforward problem, such as a sore throat, a urinary infection, colds and flu, obtaining a sick note, an ear infection, contraception renewals or other urgent prescription renewals that can’t wait until the next available appointment.

You can not use these visits for pap tests, medicals, getting forms signed, STD screening or following up for ongoing medical conditions, ie: depression, stress, high blood pressure, acne.

Walk in visits provide you with a brief time to address one complaint with the doctor. Some issues require a longer time to be discussed, these appointments should be booked. Please keep in mind the counselling centre has an on call counsellor during regular working hours and are just located upstairs on the fifth floor.

Skipping your booked appointment to attend the walk in clinic is not acceptable and will be subject to a $30.00 missed appointment fee.

*In case of emergency please proceed to the nearest hospital, either the Health Science Centre or St. Clare's Emergency.
