The Harris Centre has a University-wide mandate. This means that it
may work with any faculty, department or centre at Memorial
University in order to accomplish its objectives.
The Director of the Harris Centre reports jointly to the
Vice-President (Academic) and the Vice-President (Research):
The Harris Centre is empowered to appoint Associates, who will
normally be retired individuals with a commitment to the mandate of
the Harris Centre. An Associate may lead projects for the Harris
Centre and may represent the Centre at meetings; Associates may
also be provided with resources such as office space, office
equipment, a University e-mail address, etc.
