May the Fourth Be With You!
Join us on Saturday, May 4th and help us blast off for the 2024 season at Geo!
We'll have space and Star Wars themed crafts and activities, planetarium and stellarium shows, a costume contest, visits from Sci-Fi on the Rock, and movies!
Schedule:
- 10:00-4:00: Activities include a craft table to make light sabers with circuits and a take and make straw rocket craft, plus a space scavenger hunt
- 10:00-10:15 and 10:15-10:30: Planetarium shows for kids (upstairs in Celestial Gallery)
- 10:30-11:00: Stomp Rockets (Outdoor classroom)
- 10:30-10:50: Stellarium Talk (3D Theatre)
- 11:00-11:30: Planetarium show for adults (upstairs in Celestial Gallery)
- 11:30-12:30: Rover Obstacle Course (Quidi Vidi/Gibbett Hill)
- 12:00-12:20: Stellarium Talk (3D Theatre)
- 1:00: Star Wars "The Force Awakens" (3D Theatre - SEPARATE TICKET)
- 2:00-2:15 and 2:15-2:30: Planetarium shows for kids (upstairs in Celestial Gallery)
- 2:30-3:00: Stomp Rockets (Outdoor classroom)
- 3:00-3:30: Planetarium show for adults (upstairs in Celestial Gallery)
- 3:30-4:00: Costume contest judged by Sci Fi on the Rock
- 4:00-5:00: Meet and Greet with Sci-Fi on the Rock
Regular Admission applies for the day. Separate tickets are required for the Star Wars movie. These are $5 +HST per person and can be purchased at admission.
