Letter to the editor
I read "Exercise for health, not physique" by student columnist Joshua Duff in the Gazette this morning and was delighted by the absence of problematic triggers or fat-phobic language. This piece was accessible, well written, and most importantly, inclusive. Joshua was careful to use phrases like "well-balanced body weight" as opposed to "overweight" or "obese." It was such a pleasure to read a short text that actually focused on exercise and maintaining activity levels without any insulting remarks or paragraphs that exclude many readers. Just wanted to say "thanks" from one of the Aquarena's frequent users!
