Dr. Neil B. Bishop, professor, Department of French and Spanish, has published Le Québec et ses trois langues' dans un jardin entouré de murailles de Robert Lalonde in Études Canadiennes/Canadian Studies (a scholarly journal published by the Association Française d'Études Canadiennes), No. 71, Fall 2011-Winter 2012, pp. 69-85.
Prof. Rick Maddigan, psychology, recently presented a poster at the 34th Annual National Institute on the Teaching of Psychology conference in St. Pete's Beach, Fla., titled A Distance Course with a Difference. The poster outlined and evaluated two new distance course innovations in Prof. Maddigan's recently completed Psychology 1000 distance course: the use of digitized course lectures and the use of a shared website with on-campus students.
Dr. David Behm, associate dean of graduate studies and research with the School of Human Kinetics and Recreation, co-authored two papers soon to be published. The effect of training at the same time of day and tapering period on the diurnal variation or short exercise performances will appear in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research 2012 as well as Volume, intensity and timing of muscle power potentiation are variable in Applied Physiology Nutrition and Metabolism 2012.
