Dr. Fereidoon Shahidi, Biochemistry, Faculty of Science, received a European Lipid Federation Technology Award in Munich for his outstanding contributions and achievements in the chemistry of food lipids, functional foods, neutraceuticals, and natural antioxidants. He was also the one of the 2010 recipients of the American Chemistry Society Fellow Award and is fourth in the citation index in the Aric Science, the only Canadian ever on the list.
