Dr. Amin Muhammad, Discipline of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine, has three publications in BMJ Case Reports. Sturge-Weber syndrome: neurology-psychiatry interface is a report on a 22 year-old male with this syndrome which included seizures and intracranial calcification and left-sided brain atrophy. Possession: a clinical enigma, looks at a 21-year old woman with a history of episodes where she would display extraordinary strength while becoming aggressive towards her family members, speak in foreign language and display bizarre behavior. The third case report is titled Insightful hallucination: psychopathology or paranormal phenomenon? This report describes a 26 year-old man who started seeing and talking to his mother after her death.
