Papers and PresentationsDr. Christopher Dunn, Department of Political Science, was invited to give a lecture to an international group of scholars at the Civic Initiative of the Donahue Institute at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst on July 6, 2010. The Civic Initiative is sponsored jointly the U.S. State Department and the Office of the President, University of Massachusetts. He spoke on "Variations in federalism and federal theory: the United States and Canada compared."
Cyr Couturier, Aquaculture Research Scientist, Marine Institute was invited by the Royal Society of Canada and the National Academy of Sciences and Technology of Senegal to give a plenary paper at the first International Workshop on Sustainable Aquaculture in Africa, Dakar, Senegal, 28-29 June 2010. The paper was entitled "Extension and outreach for aquaculture development: the role of producer associations". Over 150 delegates attended from a dozen or more African countries.
