Welcome to all the student assistants working with us during the Winter 2018 semester; some of you have worked in MUNFLA before and others are new. Every semester the Archive receives funding from certain federal and provincial programs, enabling us to hire students; for this continued support, we say a very special thank you – it is greatly appreciated.
This semester, we would particularly like to acknowledge receipt of funds from the Government of Canada’s Young Canada Works in Heritage Organizations (YCWHO) program (https://www.canada.ca/en/canadian-heritage/services/funding/young-canada-works.html ) which enabled us to hire Cassandra Colman, a second-year MA (with Public Folklore Co-operative Education Work Terms) student here in the Department of Folklore, for a 12-week work-term.
Our Winter 2018 student assistants are: Cassandra Colman (YCWHO- Young Canada Works in Heritage Organizations), Qian Huang, Tanyan Ye, Maeghan Chasse, Abigail Crocker, Ayda Dalvand, Amy Richardson, Nadia Sarwar, Alina Sergachov, Wyatt Shibley (Graduate students) and Donna Norvey, Matthew Liberty, and Kyle Wiseman (MUCEP - Memorial Undergraduate Career Experience Program). Thank you all for your help this semester; we really do appreciate it!
