Memorial University of Newfoundland has developed a network of interconnecting corridors, tunnels and elevated walkways to enable people to get around campus without having to go outside.  The tunnel portion of this walkway system is referred to as the MUNnel system.

Aside from its obvious advantages in inclement weather, the system provides ease of access to most areas of the University. This network of directional signs located both inside and outside of buildings has been designed to make finding your way around campus convenient and easy, especially for those who are new to the campus.
