Jeff Webb

Jeff Webb is an associate professor in the Department of History at Memorial University, where he specializes in the history of Newfoundland and the history of the mass media.

His research has included the history of radio broadcasting, and the cultural effect of foreign servicemen during the second world war. He is the author of The Voice of Newfoundland: A Social History of the Broadcasting Corporation of Newfoundland, 1939-1949 (Toronto, 2008).

A former editor of Newfoundland and Labrador Studies, he is currently researching the study of language and culture at Memorial between the 1950s and 1980s.
