Graduates receive awards and scholarships

Amy Wilson, Christine Careen, Aedon Young, Ling Li and Camille Fouillard were among the 15 Faculty of Education graduate students who received wards and scholarships.

Fifteen graduate students in the Faculty of Education received awards and scholarships during the 2016-17 annual ceremony hosted last week by Memorial’s School of Graduate Studies.

The presentations took place May 29 at the D.F. Cook Recital Hall. Here are the recipients from the Faculty of Education:

Fawaz Alqarni – Fellow of the School of Graduate Studies

Sylvester Boadi – Fellow of the School of Graduate Studies

Christine Careen – Fellow of the School of Graduate Studies

Christopher Cumby – Fellow of the School of Graduate Studies

Camille Fouillard – Fellow of the School of Graduate Studies

Jennifer Hayes – Dr. Harrison Hedley Way Scholarship

Mohammad Kasmi – The Chancellor’s Graduate Award, The Fry Family Foundation Graduate Leadership Award, and the Faculty of Education Dean’s Graduate Award

Ling Li – Dr. Kate Bride Memorial Conference Travel Award, The Dr. Linda Coles Primary/Elementary Literacy Scholarship

Ryan Morrison – Fellow of the School of Graduate Studies

Susan Pennell – The Williams and Verge Family Bursary

Keith Power – The Ellen Gillis Memorial Scholarship

Hua Que – The Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW) Edith Creighton Scholarship, The Canadian College of Teachers Scholarship

Anna Sequeira – F.A. Aldrich Graduate Award

Amy Wilson – A.G. Hatcher Memorial Scholarship

Aedon Young – The Dr. Ethel M. Janes Memorial Scholarship in Education (Graduate)
