Biology

The Biology Co-operative Education program is a new program available to Biology undergraduate students. This program provides the opportunity for students to learn valuable practical skills while working in positions that relate to the field of Biology. Students will complete three full-time paid work term placements related to their area of study.

Biology is a broad discipline that studies biological systems from the very tiny (molecules and genes) to the very large (ecosystems and landscapes). Biologists engage in work and research related to living systems at the molecular, cellular, physiological, organismal, and ecosystem levels. The study of Biology contributes to the understanding of life processes within ourselves and other species, relationships within and among the species and to the environment, and their significance to the provincial, national, and global community.
