Scheduled Changes to Email Services - March 2009

Computing and Communications will be making several changes to its E-mail services over the next few weeks. Details on these changes will be made available on the C&C website. Updates on the exact dates will be reflected there as soon as they are identified.

This work is part of Computing and Communications' service improvement plan.

• The week of April 6th, a new channel will be launched in my.mun.ca for faculty and staff allowing you to manage elements of your e-mail at Memorial such as:


o Selecting a “nice” e-mail address
o Setting your “from” address to be used by Memorial’s Webmail and Exchange
o Consolidating your inter-campus e-mail accounts
o Providing access the web based version of your e-mail client.

• The week of March 30th, the “change password rules” page will be modified to allow for more user friendly and informative changing of passwords.

• The week of April 6th, C&C is also implementing a more provocative password expiry system. Please watch your e-mail inbox for expiry notifications.
