I am an active member of the nursing profession, working initially on neurosurgery upon graduation and proceeded to fulfill my career with positions in Emergency, ICU into the late 1990's . I then proceeded into the private sector as a medic offshore on the Hibernia Platform for the following five years before returning to a Hospital based career in management. This new challenge started as a site manager for all three city hospitals, then as Division Manager of Health Sciences Emergency department and now my current position as D.M. of Cardiology, congestive heart failure clinic and cardiac rehab program. A 53 yr old happily married man, with two grown children, I spend My spare time with music, personal landscape projects and travel abroad. An active member in my regulatory body, I sit on the management advisory council with the ARNNL, as well as the management advisory committee for Eastern Health that reports into the CEO and currently am a invited member with the ARNNL working on a Transition to Practice document for new nursing graduates. With An ethical and prudent judgement, I pride myself in seeing both, or many, sides of an argument/idea without making hasty decisions. An energetic, professional and confident person, I would be proud to support Memorial University on the Board of Regents. I thank you in advance for considering me for this highly honorable position.
