The WW100 Commemoration Program of Memorial University presents a free symposium on The First World War in 1916 including The Newfoundland Regiment at Beaumont Hamel. 

1916 Beaumont Hamel and Beyond

 

Friday, June 17 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.

The symposium will feature a special presentation of Newfoundland at Armageddon, a documentary on Beaumont Hamel presented by producer Barbara Doran featuring narration by Alan Doyle. 

 

Saturday, June 18 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

A symposium that explores the major events in the First World War in 1916, including Battle of the Somme (Beaumont Hamel, the Battle of Verdun and the Battle of Jutland.

Both events will take place at the Bruneau Centre for Research and Innovation in Innovation Hall (IIC-2001). 

To register for either event email rsvp@mun.ca by June 13. Please note in your rsvp which event you are interested in attending.

Parking is available in areas 1A and 18.
