To be considered for admission to the Graduate Diploma in Marine Studies (Water Resource Management), a student must be eligible to register in the Master of Marine Studies (Water Resource Management) Program (see Master of Marine Studies (Water Resource Management), Admission Requirements).

The program is offered at the Marine Institute Campus and requires:

1. The successful completion of 24 credit hours of course work that includes a 12-week internship (6 credit hours):

   • AQRS 6080 Introduction to Water Resources (prerequisites: SC 1807, 1808)

   • AQRS 6081 Water Chemistry (prerequisites: SC 1807, 1808)

   • AQRS 6082 Water and Wastewater Microbiology (prerequisites: SC 1807, 1808)

   • AQRS 6083 Spatial Analysis for Water Resources

   • AQRS 6084 Analytical Chemistry (prerequisite: AQRS 6081)

   • AQRS 6085 Water and Wastewater Treatment (prerequisites: SC 1807, 1808)

   • AQRS 6102 Internship (6 credit hours) (prerequisites: AQRS 6080, 6081, 6082, 6083, 6084, 6085)

2. Depending upon the applicant’s academic background, other courses may be required to be completed.

1. Students in the Graduate Diploma in Marine Studies (Water Resource Management) must obtain a grade of 'B' or better in all program courses.

2. Students must complete and receive a pass (P) in AQRS 6102 - Internship.

3. Students who have received a grade less than a 'B' in a program course will be permitted to remain in the program, provided the course is retaken and passed with a grade of 'B' or better.
