University or College Applicant

General admission requirements

Applicants with an academic record at a post-secondary institution are subject to Memorial University's continuance and readmission regulation which requires applicants to be in good academic standing at their previous or current institutions to be eligible for admission. All applicants are also required to meet the English language requirement.

Supporting documents required

This category of admission requires documentation of your full academic history. If you haven't completed a four-year bachelor degree, you'll need to submit your official high school transcripts/certificates, in addition to all post-secondary transcripts. Check the admission requirements for Canadian and international curricula to find out how to submit your high school transcripts/certificates.

Applicants to all bachelor of nursing programs will be required to submit a high school transcript, even if they have completed a four-year bachelor degree.

Detailed course syllabi may be required for transfer credit evaluation, for the purposes of admission to, and placement in your program.

Submitting your documents

You are responsible for making sure that all documents required for admission or transfer credit evaluation are provided. The results of your transfer credit evaluation are important for course planning and registration. For this reason, you are advised to apply early and forward the required documents at least two months prior to the start of the semester for which admission is sought.

All required official documents (i.e., transcripts and course outlines) must be submitted by the document deadline. Official documents must be received by mail directly from the issuing school/institution. Transcripts submitted by students are considered unofficial. However, in countries where it is not possible to obtain an official transcript, a notarized copy supplied by the student may be accepted upon approval of the Admissions Office.
