Yvonne Bomberry

Yvonne Bomberry 

Yvonne Bomberry received her Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Calgary in1997 and her Master of Social Work degree from McMaster University in 2000.

Yvonne is a Mohawk woman from the Six Nations Reserve in Ontario. She has twenty five years of social work experience with Aboriginal people in child welfare, family violence, mental health and counselling. One of her most rewarding experiences has been her work with Aboriginal criminalized women. Currently, Yvonne conducts custody and access assessments in Ontario. Yvonne also has teaching experience at the University and College level in the field of social work, teaching such classes as working with groups, community integration and practice issues, mental health and addictions.

Yvonne's area of research interest is with Aboriginal women and mental health as it relates to lateral violence.
