Sexual assault is never okay and it is never your fault if it happens to you.
There is no right or wrong way to react to sexual assault. It does not matter what you were wearing, if you trusted someone, were drinking, if you were walking alone, went to someone's house, didn't fight back or call for help, etc. People react in different ways; some cry, others get angry, and others feel numb. It is common to lose memory of the incident and some individuals try to forget the assault. The Sexual Harassment Advisor will support you no matter how you react.
