During Science Career Talks, science alumni working in the industry speak to science students and graduates about the career paths they have pursued and how they have navigated their job search. Since many jobs are not publicly advertised, networking often plays a major role in how students and graduates find jobs and careers that fit their interests and values.

David Pinsent
Environmental Regulatory Advisor
Husky Energy

Project Manger of environmental assessments and environmental effects monitoring programs for major capital projects in Canada.

Key industry experience/ skills: Environmental assessment - project effects mitigation - regulatory consultation and stakeholder engagement - marine environmental effects monitoring - environmental compliance audits

Josh Pennell
Honors Degree, Biology, Journalism

Josh Previously worked with Canadian Wildlife Service, the Ministry of Northern Ontario, and U.S Fish and Wildlife. He also worked for an environmental consulting company- Stantec. He now works with Transcontinental Media.
