The Schulich Scholarship has not only relieved the burden of having to pay for school but it has also served as a testament to who I am. I enjoy helping others - whether in the community or across an ocean - as well as keeping up-to-date with current technology.

I plan on studying biochemistry and cell biology. In the future I want to work as a scientific researcher. The Schulich Leader Scholarship has given me the opportunity to focus completely on school and the ability to go to university outside my province.

I am so honoured to have been awarded the Schulich Leader Scholarship for Memorial University. This scholarship will allow me to reach my greatest potential as an engineering student at Memorial, and will hopefully help me achieve my goal of changing the world for the better.

Program of Study: Science

I am currently completing my undergraduate degree in Science, with the future goal of attending Medical School. This scholarship has given me the opportunity to fully realize some of my aspirations, and I am truly thankful.

This prestigious scholarship will enable me to complete my studies without financial concerns and focus instead on the learning aspect of university. After completing my undergraduate studies, I hope to pursue a degree in Medicine and practice as a physician.

My name is Jennifer Tucker. I’m a second year student at Memorial, beginning the Pharmacy program in September. The Schulich Leader Scholarship connected me to many friends and mentors and allowed me to focus my time on school and other things I enjoy, such as snowboarding and volunteering.

Cole Walsh

Program of Study: Applied Mathematics and Physics (Joint Honours)

My name is Cole Walsh and I’m completing an Applied Mathematics and Physics Joint Honours degree. Following graduation, I plan to pursue graduate studies in theoretical particle physics. The Schulich Leader Scholarship has allowed me to focus entirely on my studies and pursue opportunities in Science I might not have otherwise.

My name is Jivetesh Singh Chhatwal. I am heading into my 4th year of the Honours program in Biochemistry this Fall with a Psychology minor. My time here has been rewarding as I have gained skills, experience, and perspective made possible by the generosity of Mr. Seymour Schulich and his organization for which I will always be grateful.
