Dining on Campus
There are a variety of places to eat on campus including dining halls, cafeterias and cafés as well as a number of franchise options.
If you are staying in Paton College or Macpherson College, a meal plan is mandatory however we encourage all on-campus residents to take part in the meal plan options available on campus. Aramark is Memorial's contract food service provider and they operate MUN Dining for residential food services and various other retail locations across campus. There are many benefits to purchasing a meal plan, such as unlimited dining, healthy food options, multicultural selections, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options, theme meals and a dietician onsite and available for consultation. There is also a boxed lunch program available for students who commute to the Marine Institute, the Centre for Nursing Studies, work terms and placements.
Residential food services are provided in the Main Dining Hall (R. Gushue Hall) which is connected by tunnels (MUNnels) and walkways for all students living on-campus.
The daily dining hall menu is available here.
Information about meal plans is available here.
If you would like to try something different from the options included with your meal plan, you will find Booster Juice, Dairy Queen, Extreme Pita, Just Fries, Mustang Sally's, Treats and Manchu Wok in the University Centre (UC) food court. The hours of operation for the food court can be found here.
There are cafés in the Science and Education buildings, a Tim Hortons kiosk in the Arts and Administration building, a Tim Hortons outlet in the Aquarena and a Jumping Bean café in the Queen Elizabeth II Library. In the Engineering building, you will also find a cafeteria that includes a Subway outlet.
