In order to continue as a student for the degree of Master of Arts and Education (Education and Francophone Literatures and Cultures), a student shall obtain an 'A' or 'B' grade in each required course. A student who receives a grade of 'C' in any required course must repeat that course and obtain a minimum grade of 'B'. In the case of an elective course, a suitable replacement course acceptable to the Administrative Committee may be substituted for the failed course. Only one such repetition/replacement shall be permitted on the student’s graduate program. Should a grade of less than 'B' be obtained in the repeated/replacement course, or any other program course, the student shall be required to withdraw from the program.

When the Administrative Committee has determined, through consultation with the student, graduate course instructors, and the project supervisor, if applicable, that the student’s work has fallen below satisfactory level, they may request the Dean of the Faculty of Education and the Head of the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures recommend to the Dean of Graduate Studies that the student’s program be terminated.
