Ms. Neil is the events coordinator with Fishing for Success and previously served as communications coordinator for the On the Move partnership at Memorial and as campaign coordinator for the Social Justice Cooperative NL, a non-profit involved with social and environmental justice in the province trough grassroots movement building.

A devoted climate change activist, Ms. Neil is currently co-chair of the Social Justice Cooperative. She is focused on decarbonizing and decolonizing Memorial through her efforts with ecojusticeMUN, a student society, and the Climate Action Coalition, a partnership of faculty, staff, student unions and community groups that have pledged to recognize a climate emergency and help the university take action to meet the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
