In Spring 2018, the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador announced that it would appoint a committee of experts to undertake a system-wide review of the province’s post-secondary education system.
As President Kachanoski said in the annual President's Report, "This review must ensure that Newfoundlanders and Labradorians continue to benefit from and have access to a national-class, comprehensive, teaching and research university—as every other province has."
As you explore this website, you will find information about how Memorial University has changed since the provincial government's 2004-05 review; an overview of developments in key strategic areas, such as teaching and learning, research, public engagement, governance, infrastructure and financial and human resources; and an index of important information related to the four terms of reference for the review: effectiveness, sustainability, accountability and accessibility.
