The World Conference for Marine Biodiversity, Montreal 2018

The 4th World Conference on Marine Biodiversity will be held at the Palais des congrès de Montréal, Québec, Canada, from May 13-16, 2018. This meeting will bring together scientists, practitioners, and policy makers to discuss and advance our understanding of the importance and current state of biodiversity in the marine environment.

A collaborative team of researchers from Dalhousie University and Memorial University – funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada – and the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) set out to explore yet-to-be-discovered parts of our ocean in the northwest Atlantic. Oceana Canada will brought the expedition into people’s homes using high-tech camera equipment and live streaming.
