Hello! I am a Memorial University graduate from Conception Bay South, Newfoundland. My love for the ocean has kept me tied to this beautiful island. I hold a BSc in Marine biology (Memorial University, 2019), an Advanced Diploma in Sustainable Aquaculture (Marine Institute, 2020), and am currently completing a Master's in Marine Studies (Marine Institute). I have work experience in the aquaculture industry, specifically working with triploid Atlantic salmon. My interests lie in the protection of marine ecosystems and marine mammal science.
I am currently working at the Ocean Sciences Centre as Paul's Research Assistant in the Snelgrove Laboratory. My work includes assisting the graduate students with their research both in the laboratory and the field, and making sure that the laboratory is running smoothly.
When I am not working or studying, you can likely find me near the water. I am certified in Advanced Open Water Scuba Diving, and in 2019 I spent a month diving in Honduras assisting research on Lionfish behaviour and 3D coral mapping. I also enjoy snorkeling, kayaking, whale-watching, tenting, cod fishing, and beachcombing.
