MScN Nurse Practitioner Option
The MScN NP Option prepares nurses at an advanced level to practice as NPs within the health care system, within health care organizations or in private practice. NPs work in a variety of settings such as acute care, community clinics, emergency departments, outpatient clinics, family physicians’ offices, long-term care facilities, and in primary health care clinics, such as family care teams, or in private practice. NPs are in high demand and have an important role in managing individuals, families and communities to promote the health and well-being of people in Newfoundland and Labrador (NL), other provinces in Canada and elsewhere.
