Admission
The deadline to apply is January 15 every year for intake in the Fall semester. Late applications will not be considered.
Applicants to the Post Master's Nurse Practitioner Graduate Diploma program must meet the following criteria:
- Completion of a baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited program in Canada, or an equivalent from an institution recognized by the University, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (B).
- Completion of a Master's degree in nursing from an accredited program in Canada, or an equivalent from an institution recognized by the University, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (B).
- Completion of a minimum of 3900 clinical hours as a Registered Nurse at the time of application.
- Applicants must be primary residents of Newfoundland and Labrador and have a nursing license (in good standing) from the CRNNL at the time of application.
- Completion of an English Language Proficiency tests, if the medium of instruction of your previous degree was not exclusively in English. Acceptable English Language Proficiency tests can be found in the university calendar.

- An employment verification letter with your total hours worked as a Registered Nurse
- A Graduate Nursing Form (NP)
