The Faculty of Nursing (FON) loves to recognize hard work and dedication!

Many scholarships, bursaries and awards are available to students in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc.N.) (collaborative) program at the FON, Centre for Nursing Studies (CNS) and the Western Regional School of Nursing (WRSON). 

Some are designed for those entering their first year (entrance awards); others for students beyond their first year (undergraduate awards).

Some awards are site specific, some are available based on a particular interest in specific fields, such as heart health, or obstetrics. You'll also find travel awards for students to pursue clinical studies in remote communities or in a developing country. You can apply for eligible awards using this  application form. 

We've also included links to information on external awards not administered by Memorial University, for which you might be eligible. 

Academic achievement is reognized every year through our Dean's List for students who place within the top 10 per cent of the degree program, among other criteria.

Convocation Awards:  These awards and medals are presented to students at spring convocation every year.

External Awards: These are administered by organizations outside the university and include awards for nursing students.
