The NewFound Music Festival is pleased to welcome Canada's premiere new music saxophone quartet Quasar back to St. John's to anchor the 16th edition of the festival. Opening the concert is the Nova Collective, a St. John's based group of musicians with a focus on contemporary music and improvisation.

DAY 2:
7:30PM - NewFound XVI Gala
D.F. Cook Recital Hall
$16 students/$22 general

The first half of the NewFound Music Gala concert features violinist and 2017 Concerto Competition winner Arlan Vriens and the Mun Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Vernon Regehr performing Alfred Schnittke's Sonata No. 1. After the intermission the program consists of selected contemporary works from faculty and students at the School of Music.
