Jazz Orchestra

After a year of online rehearsals the MUN Jazz Orchestra is excited to be back live on stage. The ensemble will present an afternoon of swinging big band classics by composers such as Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Thad Jones.


Meditatio Adventus
A Choral Meditation for Advent

Memorial University Festival and Chamber Choirs directed by Dr. Jakub Martinec and graduate students in conducting Yuan Chen and Savanna Muscat, and 2021 MMus Choral Conducting Graduates Greer Schatz and Branden Olsen. Special guests: organist Sharon Whalen, Inuk soprano Deantha Edmunds, Young Virtuosi and members of the Atlantic Boychoir. Featuring some of the finest choral works from the festive choral literature by Palestrina, Bach, Handel, Vivaldi, Arnessen, Rachmaninoff, Pärt and Rutter. Arrangements of traditional carols by Sir David Willcocks will leave you with the sense that the season of renewal and joy is upon us all.


Merry Wives and Troubled Lives

Join MUN’s Opera Workshop as they explore operatic scenes and arias from some of the repertoire’s best known works including Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro, Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice, and Nicolai’s The Merry Wives of Windsor.
