From international conferences, symposia, and academic lectures to music performances, workshops, and beyond, MMaP produces a wide range of live events. These include our ongoing “Good as a Concert” series of traditional music and narrative performances, the Phenomenology and Ethnomusicology 2018 conference, the 2011 biennial conference of the International Council on Traditional Music, the 2008 North Atlantic Fiddle Convention, and Expanding Ecomusicology: Exploring Sonic Culture and Environmental Change (2013).

Our scholar-in-residence program brings leading researchers to the Memorial University campus to give seminars, talks in our Music & Culture Lecture Series, and public engagement events. Many of MMaP’s events are livestreamed on the Internet and archived on our YouTube channel.
