The vessel was scrapped in 1950.
Alec C. Gruchy was a Bowring Brothers' insurance agent in Pouch Cove. He went to the ice on the Silvia in 1928 at the invitation of Bowring Brothers. | | Scope and Content: | Photograph of the S.S.
