Adm. Hist/Bio. Sketch: Built at Aberdeen, Scotland in 1867, official number 55345, 435 gross tons, owned by David Gray of Peterhead and was registered there. Registered in Dundee in 1893 and owned by James Mitchell.
Scope and Content: Store books for a voyage of the S.S. Eclipse, while the vessel was under the command of Captain William F. Milne. The first book covers a voyage commencing 5 April 1900 and terminating 8 November 1900; the second book covers a voyage commencing 9 April 1906 and terminating 5 November 1906. Lists names of crew, capacity in which engaged, and provisions allotted to each one. Ability and conduct are also recorded.
