Biography/Admin History: The schooner "Armorel," official number 142057, was built in 1918 by the Newfoundland Shipbuilding Co. Ltd. at Harbour Grace, Newfoundland. Registered in Newfoundland on December 10, 1918, and was owned by Cyril Tessier, a merchant from St. John's. Tessier sold his shares to a variety of people, including 46 shares to the Crossburn Steamship Limited of Glasgow, Scotland. The "Armorel" was sold to French Nationals in Marseilles on December 30, 1921.
