Biography/Admin History: | The schooner "Isobel Moore," Official Number 141643, was the sister ship of the "Olive Moore," and was built in 1920 at Liverpool, Nova Scotia by the Nova Scotia Shipbuilding & Transportation Co., Ltd. for the firm J. and F. Moore of St. John's, Newfoundland in 1920. The owner was Frederick Moore, a merchant from St. John's, and the vessel was named after his daughter. It flew the flag of A.E. Hickman Co., Ltd., who held part ownership. Used in the foreign-going fish trade and abandoned at sea in the North Atlantic November 8, 1930. |
