Biography/Admin History: The three masted schooner "Phileen," official number 138346, 295 gross tons was built in 1917 at Dartmouth, Nova Scotia by E.F. Williams and was registered at Halifax. On February 7, 1918 the vessel was registered at St. John's, Newfoundland and was owned by Joseph James Long, John Williams, and A.S. Rendell Co., Ltd., all merchants from St. John's. The registry closed on July 23, 1919 after the vessel was abandoned and lost at sea in the Atlantic Ocean on May 15, 1919.
