| Biography/Admin History: | The brig "Clutha" was built in 1841 at Harbour Grace, Newfoundland by Michael Kearney, 171 gross tons, registered at St. John's, Newfoundland #23 in 1841, owned by William Punton and John Munn, merchants from Harbour Grace. The "Clutha" was registered de novo in 1848 and the registry officially closed in 1854 when the vessel was broken up. |
