Biography/Admin History: The barque "Fleet Wing," official number 34015, 249 gross tons, was built in 1857 at Halls Bay, Newfoundland. First registered at St. John's #16 in 1857 and was owned by John Butler Barnes, William Morris Barnes and Ebenezer Barnes, all merchants from St. John's. Registered de novo in 1858 to John Munn, a merchant from Harbour Grace, Newfoundland. The "Fleet Wing" was condemmed at Lisbon, Portugal as unseaworthy and sold to foreigners. The vessel's registry closed in 1873.
