McGowan at Shelbourne, Nova Scotia. She was first owned by John and Emily Mathison of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. She was bought by Charles Nichols, a master mariner from St. John's, Newfoundland in 1902. Nichols sold her in June 1904 to John Chalker Crosbie, a merchant from St. John's. The "Evelyn" was wrecked at Isle au Bois, twenty miles off Cape Race, Newfoundland on January 9, 1913.
