The vessel was subsequently registered at St. John's, Newfoundland in 1865 under the ownership of merchant John Munn of Harbour Grace. While engaged in the seal fishery under the command of Captain Keefe, on March 3, 1878, the vessel struck ice off Bonavista and quickly sank.
