Biography/Admin History: "Glengarry", official number 49458, gross tonnage 189, built in Wallace, Nova Scotia, in 1864 and registered in Pugwash that year. The vessel was subsequently registered at St. John's, Newfoundland in 1865 under the ownership of merchant John Munn of Harbour Grace. While engaged in the seal fishery under the command of Captain Keefe, on March 3, 1878, the vessel struck ice off Bonavista and quickly sank. It was closed off of the registry that year.
