| Biography/Admin History: | The schooner "Elsa", official number 97478, gross tonnage 128, was built at Plymouth, England in 1891 by William H. Shilston. He was also the vessel's owner while W. Williams served as one of its first masters. By 1910 the "Elsa" appears to have moved to another member of the Shilston family with Albert H. Shilston recorded as the owner. He retained ownership until the vessel was closed off the Registry in 1928. |
