Biography/Admin History:	"Clutha" - barquentine, official number 79429, 271 gross tons, built in Ardrossan in 1881, registered at St. John's, Newfoundland, before being transferred to Bridgetown, Barbados. Owned by John C. Crosbie of St. John's in 1920. On April 16th, 1923, the Clutha was on voyage from St. John's to Barbados with codfish when she was lost in the ice.
