Biography/Admin History: Designed and owned by Ocean Drilling and Exploration Company (ODECO) of New Orleans, USA. Built in Hiroshima, Japan in 1976 for ODECO, described as the world's largest semi-submersible oil rig of its time. Damaged by a severe storm on February 14, 1982 and sank the following day with all of her crew. 84 men died.
