Biography/Admin History: Norwegian cargo vessel S.S. Kannik (ex Nytaar) was built in 1923 by Jonker Bros at Kinderdijk, Netherlands. IMO 5606108, 871 gross tons. Originally named Nytaar but renamed Kannik in 1926 after she was sold to new owners. Sunk after a collision with a French steamship in July 1935.
