Biography/Admin History: The cargo vessel "Southern Star" Ex "Blue Peter II" (1972), launched as "Blue Peter." Built by S.B. Davie Ltd., Lauzon in 1964, general cargo ship, 1,126 gross tons, owned by the Blue Peter S.S. Co, Panama in 1977. Schooner "Philip E. Lake" was built at the Newfoundland Shipyards in Clarenville, Newfoundland by masterbuilder Ruben Carpenter in 1948, 142 gross tons, official number 178555, owned by Lake and Lake Limited of Fortune, Newfoundland, sold to an Ontario firm - sailed through The Narrows at St. John's, Newfoundland for the last time on October 9, 1976.
