Biography/Admin History: The ship "Violet M. Diamond" (O.N. 177063), 82 gross tons, was built in 1946 at Glovertown, Newfoundland. Registered at Shelburne, Nova Scotia. On the 7th August 1963, she ran aground, off Black Point, east side, approx 6 miles from Lockeport.
